Evidencee documentation

Guides and references to get your DMCC compliance platform up and running.

We're rolling out a full per-feature docs site over the coming months. For now, the sections below link to the platform walkthrough, the DMCC reference pages, and your in-app help. Need something we haven't written yet? Ask the team.

Quick start

Four steps from a fresh account to a complete DMCC readiness score.

All topics

Each topic links to the most authoritative page we currently have — usually the platform walkthrough, a DMCC reference page, or an official regulator source.

Platform integrations

How Evidencee connects to Shopify, Stripe, and GoCardless, and what each integration unlocks.

Readiness audit

The 19 DMCC controls Evidencee checks, why each one matters, and how the audit score is built.

Notice automation

Renewal and trial-ending notices, timing options, and email-provider configuration.

Cancellation parity

How Evidencee measures cancellation parity, what regulators look at, and the hosted-cancellation flow.

Cooling-off

Statutory cooling-off windows and case management — approve a refund and it is issued through your connected provider, or record one you handled yourself; Evidencee logs the reference, date, and proof.

Drip-pricing scans

Run scheduled scans across your Shopify catalogue and Stripe checkout, and resolve findings where a price component is missing from the up-front total.

Fake-review scans

Connect Trustpilot, Judge.me, Yotpo, Loox, Okendo, or Stamped review sources (Google in limited preview), run scheduled scans for incentivised or duplicated patterns, and triage findings as actioned, dismissed, or referred.

Evidence vault

What the vault records, how SHA-256 payload hashes work, and how to search by subscriber or date.

Audit bundle export

Generating a regulator-ready, self-contained HTML bundle (with embedded SHA-256 hashes and a Merkle root) and verifying evidence integrity.

Team & roles

The five workspace roles (ADMIN, OPS, LEGAL_REVIEWER, VIEWER, AGENCY_MANAGER) and what each can do.

Settings & data retention

Workspace defaults, retention windows, and data-protection settings.

Billing & plans

Plan comparison, upgrade/downgrade behaviour, and what happens when you change or cancel your plan.

Public API & webhooks

On Enterprise, connect your own systems to Evidencee. A read-only REST API (bearer-key auth at /api/v1, 120 requests/min per key) lets you pull evidence events, notices, cancellations, brands and usage. Outbound webhooks POST an HMAC-signed payload to your URL the moment a cancellation, notice, cooling-off case or evidence event is recorded — with automatic retries and a delivery log. Subscriber data is always hashed or masked, never raw.
